Mr. Roy, learned counsel representing the alleged contemnor prays for two weeks time to comply with the order passed by the coordinate Bench on 27th September, 2022.

However, it has also been submitted on behalf of the alleged contemnor that approach has been made to the Finance Department from the side of the alleged contemnor for allotment of necessary funds but till date the same has not been allotted. In view of the aforesaid submission made on behalf of the alleged contemnor hearing of this contempt application stands adjourned till 2nd February, 2024 in order to enable the alleged contemnor to comply with the order dated 27th September, 2022 and to file affidavit of compliance.

Memoranda dated 30th October, 2023 and 5th December, issued by the alleged contemnor addressed to the Director of Mass Education Extension, Government of West Bengal, for allotment of funds are taken on record.
