Affidavit of service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record.

Petitioner has made a prayer for correction of his service book in connection with service rendered as primary teacher under District Primary School Council, Purulia.

It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner in reference to a certificate relating to D.EI.Ed qualification of the petitioner which is at page 21 of the writ petition that petitioner obtained such qualification on 30th July, 2015 but while sanctioning A category scale of pay inadvertently concerned authority of District Primary School Council, Purulia vide memo dated 1st July, 2016 granted benefit of higher scale with effect from 23rd April, 2014 instead of 30th July, 2015.

During course of hearing, attention of this Court has been drawn to a communication of SubInspector of School, Ashoknagar circle, North 24 Parganas dated 25th June, 2024 whereby it was communicated to the Chairman, District Primary School Council, North 24 Parganas that necessary correction is required to be made in the service book of the petitioner thereby A category scale of pay needs to be sanctioned with effect from 30th July, 2015. Since service book of the petitioner in connection with his service rendered as primary teacher under District Primary School Council, Purulia has not been corrected based on communication dated 25th June, 2024 Chairman, District Primary School Council, North 24 Parganas being respondent no.6 is directed to forward the service book of the petitioner to the Chairman, District Primary School Council, Purulia being respondent no.4 by fortnight from the date of communication of this order.

On receipt of service book of the petitioner respondent no.4 shall make necessary corrections thereby according A category scale of pay in favour of the petitioner with effect from 30th July, 2015 instead of 23rd April, 2014 by fortnight thereafter.

After correction is incorporated in the service book of the petitioner respondent no.4 shall forward

the service book to the respondent no.6 by fortnight thereafter.

After correction of service book in terms of the aforesaid order if petitioner finds sum is payable to him, leave is granted to the petitioner to make a representation to the concerned respondent authority for release of same.

If such representation is made within two weeks after correction of service book same shall be decided in accordance with law by four weeks thereafter.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertaking.
