1. The petitioner seeks transfer.

Her earlier application seeking transfer stood rejected in the year 2021 since her application did not fall within the 10% of the teachers' strength eligible for transfer.

2. According to the petitioner, there is scope for consideration of her application seeking transfer as, none of the teachers has applied for transfer recently. Prayer has been made to permit the petitioner to file a fresh application seeking transfer so that the same may be considered by the school authority.

3. In view thereof, the instant writ petition stands disposed of with the observations that it will be open for the petitioner to seek transfer by making an application in the prescribed format.

4. In the event such an application is made, the same shall be considered by the school authority in

accordance with the prevailing guidelines and rules.

5. If the prayer of the petitioner for transfer is allowed by the head of the institution, steps shall be taken to forward the same to the District Inspector of Schools (SE), North 24 Parganas at Barasat for taking necessary consequential steps in the matter at the earliest but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of such application from the petitioner.

6. The prayer of the petitioner shall be considered by the DI of Schools in accordance with law, at the earliest but positively within a further period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of all papers from the school.

7. All parties are to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

8. Certified copy of this order, if applied for, shall be made available to the parties.
