The petitioner seeks compassionate appointment. From the documents annexed to the writ petition it appears that the name of the petitioner has been recommended and empanelled in the list of candidates for providing compassionate appointment in serial No. 1388 dated 2nd February, 2021 as intimated by the Additional Director, Panchayats and Rural Development to the Joint Secretary, Department of Panchayats and Rural Development (PRI Cell).

The petitioner submits that till date no appointment letter has been issued in his favour. As it appears that the name of the petitioner has already been empanelled in the live register for

providing compassionate appointment, accordingly, the respondent authorities are directed to give appointment to the petitioner strictly maintaining the serial as and when his turn comes.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
