Mr. Amitabha Ghosh Mr. Anik Bhattacharya ... for the petitioner The petitioner got some relief by order of this court where under his option was converted from Contributor Provident Fund to General Provident Fund. However, the arrear pension of Rs. 3,00,000/- was paid to him at a much later date and not in accordance with the order passed by this court in WP 9854(W) of 2016. The petitioner prays for interest on the said amount of Rs.3,00,000/- as the payment has been delayed. I have considered the submissions. I think that the petitioner has got sufficient relief by getting Rs. 3,00,000/- though at a later date and the Government cannot be saddled with the liability for payment of interest on this delayed amount. Therefore, I do not find any merit in this writ application and the same is dismissed.
