Matter relates to transfer of the petitioner from one primary school to another in the same district.

Petitioner made off-line transfer application on 10th March, 2025 which is at page 23 of the writ petition. Petitioner has prayed for transfer on the ground of distance and surplus teacher in the present school of the petitioner.

The Chairman, District Primary School Council, Purba Bardhaman being respondent no. 7 is represented by learned advocate who has

submitted that if direction is given upon respondent no. 7, transfer application of the petitioner shall be decided in accordance with law.

State respondents and West Bengal Board of Primary Education are represented by learned advocates.

Having considered the submissions made on behalf of the parties, Court directs respondent no. 7 to decide transfer application of the petitioner in accordance with law by six weeks from date of communication of this order. Decision to be taken by respondent no. 7 shall be communicated to the petitioner by ten days thereafter.

Writ petition stands disposed of, without any order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertaking.
