Despite service of notice, the 5th respondent, daughter-in-law is not represented.

The counsel for the petitioner submits that his client has returned to his residence since after being discharged from the hospital. He still feels uncomfortable. The 4th respondent/son undertakes before this Court to take care of his father. He may stay with or visit his father as and when needed.

Maheshtala Police shall maintain regular vigil over the said premises and ensure that the petitioner shall not be disturbed by the private respondents. Suitable warnings shall be issued by the Maheshtala Police to the 5th respondent, daughter-in-law.

The Officer-in-Charge, Maheshtala Police Station, Diamond Harbour Police District is personally present before this Court. He has filed a report dated 19th January, 2023 in the form of instructions addressed to the State Advocate and the same is taken on record.

The personal presence of the Officer-in-Charge, Maheshtala Police Station, Diamond Harbour Police District is noted and dispensed with.

With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
