Ld. Advocate for the petitioner has prayed for expeditious disposal of M. Case No. 697 of 2018. The grievance of the petitioner is that till date the application for interim maintenance has not been disposed of by the ld. JM, 1st Court, Barsat.

It has also been submitted that since 2018, the o.p./husband has been taking time for filing written objection. If the husband/o.p. is at all interested to file written objection and the affidavit of assets and liabilities, the same be filed on or before 5th of August, 2024, which is the next date fixed before the ld. JM, 1st Court, Barasat. The ld. JM, 1st Court, Barasat, is directed that by the 1st week of September, 2024, the ld. Magistrate would dispose of the application for interim maintenance without granting any further time to the husband/o.p.

Needless to state that for more than six years, the petitioner is knocking the doors of the court and for some reason or the other she is yet to receive a farthing from the court, as such the timeline, under no circumstances, should be stretched beyond the period of 1st week of September, 2024.

With the aforesaid observations, CRR 1199 of 2024 is disposed of.

Pending application, if any, is also disposed of. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta.
