... for the State In this case the petitioners have challenged the proceedings in connection with Purbasthali Police Station Case No. 421 of 2012 dated 18th November, 2012 under Sections 493/376/511/379/417/34 of the Indian Penal Code (connected G.R. Case No. 994 of 2012). The case was initiated against all the petitioners on the basis of an FIR lodged by Champa Basak i.e., opposite party no. 2 on 18th November, 2012 contending, inter alia, therein that on the false promise of marriage petitioner no. 1 committed physical relationship with her without her consent and forcefully, also committed rape. The FIR was registered and the proceedings/investigation was started. Petitioners have moved this revision case challenging the said proceedings on the ground that the entire allegations against him and the other petitioners are only false and is a result of vengeance and malice against them. He has prayed for quashing of the said proceedings.

It is to be noted that, during pendency of the proceedings the petitioner has sent his letter dated 28th November, 2022 to the learned Advocate Mr. Ganguly. The petitioners have expressed their willingness not to proceed any more with this revision. Letter dated 28th November, 2022 be kept with the record.

Considering the entire circumstances and considering the ground

brought in by the petitioners in this case to be not sufficient and cogent enough, to warrant interference by this Court, this revision case is dismissed.

Accordingly, CRR 712 of 2015 is dismissed.
