One Smt. Shyamali Sikdar was an MR Dealer.

She expired on 15th May, 2024. The petitioner being son of the deceased MR Dealer applied for licence on compassionate appointment on 30th of January, 2025. It is the contentions of the petitioner that after receiving such application for compassionate appointment the authority concerned has not taken any steps; hence this writ petition.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State submits on instructions that the decision has already been taken by the concerned authority and it was communicated to the petitioner vide a memo dated 17th March, 2025. It appears that the instant writ petition and issues thereof cannot be effectively

decided without the same memo being placed before this Court.

At the situation, the instant writ petition is disposed of with a liberty to the petitioner to sue afresh.

As the petitioner has specifically argued that he has not received any communication dated 17th March, 2025, the respondent authority is directed to hand over the communication to the petitioner within one week of his approach to the authority. (Subhendu Samanta, J.)
