A report has been submitted by the Officerin-Charge, Bhowanipore Police Station wherein it reflects that on 03.09.2024 a communication was done to the HDFC Bank requesting them to unfreeze the account of the petitioner, namely, Perumalla Sai Charan having Account Number 50100539738067 and IFSC Code HDFC0001300. It was further informed that the disputed amount of Rs.2,003/- only as lien amount and the same is to be reverted to the source account of Smt. Debarati Dutta having account no.50100230498632. The copy of the e-mail has been enclosed along with the report.

In view of the police authorities having informed the HDFC Bank on 03.09.2024, if till date

the HDFC Bank has not acted on the instructions of the police authorities, they would unfreeze the account in the mode and manner as directed by the police authorities within a period of 48 hours from date.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 8147 of 2024 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report submitted by the State be kept with the record.

A copy of the report along with enclosed email be handed over to the learned advocate appearing on behalf of the petitioner as well as that of the learned advocate appearing on behalf of the HDFC Bank.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
