The order dated April 27, 2022 notes that the petitioner deposited the mobile phone that the petitioner was using at the material point of time. It was also noted that since the petitioner was using different mobile phone which he will provide to the Investigating Officer also.

It appears from the report that the SIM card of the petitioner provided to the Investigating Officer pursuant to the order dated April 27, 2022 is registered with a different person. Such conduct of the petitioner does not obviate the necessity of custodial interrogation.

Consequently, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners The application for anticipatory bail, being CRM (A) 1853 of 2022, is rejected.
