Charge sheet has been submitted in the instant case. However, there is a settlement arrived at between the private parties. The husband and wife are staying together in the same mess and they do not want the criminal proceeding to continue. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the de facto complainant wife submits that the couple is staying together. They do not want prolong the litigation at hand. Disputes that led to the registration of the FIR have been finally settled and compromised between the private parties.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State relies on the case diary and submits that there is a letter sent by the de facto complainant that the complaint was registered due to some misunderstanding and the two are

residing peacefully together now. She did not want to press the criminal case.

In view of the compromise and settlement arrived at between the private parties, I quash the proceeding in Habra PS Case No. 664 dated 25.07.2023.

The revisional application and CRAN 1 of 2025 are, accordingly, disposed of.
