APP Mr. Sayan Mukherjee ... for the State-respondent(s) Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for one year nine months and till date only six witnesses have been examined out of the cited 27 witnesses. According to the petitioner, the earlier order rejecting the prayer for bail directed two eyewitnesses to be examined.

Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that it is the present petitioner who along with her paramour killed her husband. There were serious injuries and the offence complained of is heinous offence.

Having considered that the petitioner is a lady and is in custody for one year nine months, without entering into the merits of the case but taking into account that further

time will be required to take the trial to its logical conclusion, I am inclined to release the petitioner on bail. Hence, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is Allowed.

Accordingly, the petitioner viz, Lakshmi Rajowar @ Putul Rajowar shall be released on bail upon furnishing bond of Rs.20,000/-(Rupees Twenty Thousand only), with two sureties of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Fast Track Court-I, Krishnagar, Nadia.

If on bail, the petitioner shall also make herself physically available on each and every date so fixed by the learned trial court and if she intends to leave the district of Nadia, she would intimate the learned trial court. Accordingly, CRM (M) 836 of 2026 is allowed.
