Case No.272 of 2024 dated 08.06.2024 under Sections 147/148/149/186/188/323/325/326/307 /332/333/353 of the Indian Penal Code.

Mr. Pravas Bhattacharya Mr. Dipankar Mahata ... for the State Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits as follows. The petitioners are seeking parity in respect of a similarly circumstanced co-accused who was granted anticipatory bail by a Division Bench of this Court on 21.11.2024 in CRM(A) 4039 of 2024.

Heard learned counsels for the parties and perused the case diary.

As the injuries were not found grievous or life threatening, the incident occurred in course of a political clash and in view of the order passed by a Division Bench granting anticipatory bail to a similarly circumstanced co-

accused, I am inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

In the event of arrest, the petitioners shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000/- (rupees ten thousand) each with two sureties of like amount each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer and also be subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 corresponding to Section 482(2) of the BNSS, 2023 and on the further condition that the petitioners shall not threaten or intimidate witnesses.

The application for anticipatory bail is, thus, allowed. (Jay Sengupta, J.)
