Petitioner approached this Court as in spite of informing the police authorities on or about 09.03.2024 and 11.03.2024 no steps were taken. State has submitted a report which reflects that Canning PS Case No. 215 dated 21.03.2024 was registered for investigation on the basis of the complaint of the petitioner.

Considering that the police authorities have already taken steps, I direct that at this belated stage, if the charge sheet has been submitted, the petitioner would advance his prayers before the learned Magistrate. In case, the charge sheet till date has not been submitted, it is directed that the investigation of the case be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time.

Further pendency of the writ petition is unwarranted.

Accordingly, WPA 8205 of 2024 is disposed of.

Report submitted be kept with the record.
