Petitioner has approached this court being aggrieved by the inaction of the police authorities, particularly with regard to the removal of C.C.T.V. which has been affixed at Navodaya Adarsh Shiksha Niketan School.

According to Mr. Samanta, learned advocate appearing for the State, police inspected the contents and visuals of the C.C.T.V. camera and nothing objectionable could be detected by the police authorities.

Learned advocate for the private respondent nos. 5 to 12 is present and submits that the

intention of the respondents were never to harm the reputation of the petitioner but was a preventive measure for which the same was installed by the private respondents.

Since removal or installation of C.C.T.V.

camera is never the duty of the police authorities to monitor except when an offence is committed, I direct that in case petitioner is of the opinion that removal of the C.C.T.V. is required by the petitioner, petitioner would approach the civil court for appropriate remedies. In the meantime, police authorities would only oversee that as the petitioner and the private respondents are at loggerhead, there should not be any untoward incident resulting from the same.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 7622 is disposed of.
