This is an application filed jointly by the petitioner and the opposite party praying for recording compromise on the ground that the dispute between the parties have been amicably settled. G.R. Case No.4484 of 2021 corresponding to Gaighata Police Station Case No.1047 of 2021 dated 13.11.2021 arose out of a complaint under Sections 498A/323/506/34 of the Indian Penal Code. Since the parties have mutually settled the matter and the police officer has also submitted a report that the said settlement was voluntary and free from threat, coercion and undue influence, the joint application for compromise is accepted. Further proceeding in connection with G.R. Case No.4484 of 2021 pending before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate at Bongaon be quashed.

The learned Magistrate is directed to drop the said proceeding and discharge the accused in view of the order passed by this Court.
