The petitioner seeks compassionate appointment in the Municipality.

There is no scheme for providing compassionate appointment in the Municipality.

Compassionate appointment cannot be claimed as a matter of right and it flows from the scheme of the employer. In the absence of a proper scheme for providing compassionate appointment, the prayer of the petitioner cannot be allowed.

The writ petition stands dismissed.
