Petitioner approached this Court being aggrieved by the inaction of the police authorities. Learned advocate for the State has submitted a report which reflects that on the basis of the information furnished by the petitioner, Shrabani Mukherjee, a case being Bishnupur P.S. Case No.95 of dated 28.03.2024 was registered for investigation. In course of investigation, there were interrogation of the local witnesses and the statements were recorded under Section 161 of Cr.P.C.

Having regard to the steps taken by the police authorities, I direct that in case there is a grievance of the petitioner, petitioner will approach the jurisdictional Magistrate for ventilating her grievance since substantial time has passed after the registration of the FIR.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 8267 of 2024 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
