Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that petitioner is in custody for more than four years. On the other hand learned advocate appearing for the defacto complainant points out that the evidence of the witnesses are over.

Learned advocate for the State also submits after referring to the report that next date has been fixed on 24.06.2026 for examination of the accused persons under Section 313 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

Having considered the stage of the case, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail.

Accordingly, CRM (M) 837 of 2026 is dismissed.

However, the learned trial Court would ensure that the verdict of the case is pronounced within a period of three months provided the defence do not consume time for tendering witnesses in support of its case.

Report submitted by the State be kept with the record. All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
