The petitioner was adopted by one Prithwis Chandra Singha, on February 26, 2021, by purported declaration before the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, Bankshal Court, at Kolkata.

It is now well-settled that the name of the biological father can never be changed.

Therefore, no relief can be granted to the petitioner.

Hence, WPA of is thus dismissed.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
