It is really an unfortunate case that the step father of the victim minor girl has been apprehended in connection with the aforesaid case.

Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is languishing in jail for about 160 days and there is no likelihood of the trial to commence in the near future. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and draws our attention to the statement of the minor victim girl aged about six years and her mother.

Having heard the respective submissions and on perusal of the statement of the minor victim girl, who is aged about six years narrating the unfortunate incident, we do not find it is a fit case where the petitioner should be enlarged on bail Accordingly, prayer for bail is dismissed.
