The petitioners wish to continue their demonstration that was originally held near Gandhi Statute, at Sahid Minar Grounds.

The Army, which owns the property, is represented. They have otherwise no objection to the petitioners holding their demonstration but only submit that a formal application ought to be first made to the Army for permission.

The petitioners may hold their demonstration subject to the conditions stipulated in the letter dated 27.03.2023 addressed to one Subhadip Bhowmik, by the Joint Commissioner of Police, Head Quarter, Kolkata Police, annexure -5 of the writ petition and the order dated 16.01.2023 passed in WPA 28116 of 2022 for a period of

two months from the date on which the Army formally communicates this permission to the petitioners.

The writ petition is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
