And In Re : Somenath Mondal @ Choto @ Somnath ...... petitioner Mr. Sumanta Das ....for the petitioner Ms. Faria Hossain Ms. Baisali Basu ....for the State Petitioner prays for anticipatory bail.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner claims parity with other co-accused who were enlarged on anticipatory bail by the order dated August 12, 2020 passed in CRM 5414 of 2020.

Learned advocate appearing for the State does not opposed the claim for parity. He further submits that the police filed charge-sheet. The petitioner is named in the charge-sheet as an accused.

There is a delay of about two years in the petitioner approaching the Court for relief.

Considering the long absconsion of the petitioner and considering the fact that the petitioner is named in the chargesheet, we are unable to enlarge the petitioner on anticipatory bail.

Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected and the application being CRM (A) 1879 of 2022 is dismissed.
