The petitioner wants to hold a procession called Sree Ram Navami Sobha Yatra from Chatir Math to Gabtala at Nabadwip. The petitioner has applied to the Superintendent of Police, Nadia for the said purpose. Counsel for the State submits that there are other local functions going on in the said area since Nabadwip and the surrounding areas comprise in popular religious place of warship.

The petitioner undertakes before this Court not to inconvenience the public at large or disturb the other religious festivals being conducted thereat. The petitioner shall comply with all the norms including the noise pollution and shall not liter the areas through which the procession shall pass.

The police may deploy necessary security arrangements for the aforesaid purpose.

With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
