Affidavit-of-service filed on behalf of the petitioners be kept with the record.

Petitioners approached this Court as the respondents failed to refund their money and when demanded the petitioners were subjected to threat and the petitioner no.1 was attempted, for outraging her modesty.

To that effect, information was furnished with the Sonarpur Police Station.

State has submitted a report which reflects that Sonarpur Police Station Case No.590 of 2025 dated 14.04.2025 has been registered for investigation.

Learned advocate for the private respondent nos.4 and 5 disputes and denies the accusations made in the writ petition as well as the issue relating to refund of money.

Be that as it may, having regard to the fact that the investigation of the case has been registered and is in progress, at this stage, this Court is reluctant to interfere with the steps taken by the police authorities. Police authorities are directed to take the investigation to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 7616 of 2025 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
