Heard learned counsel for the petitioners.

The innocuous prayer of the petitioners is for a direction upon the 2nd respondent to conclude the conciliation proceedings expeditiously and take necessary consequential steps thereafter.

It is submitted on behalf of the petitioners that the conciliation proceeding is pending since 2018. In view of the same, this Court is inclined to hold that the Conciliation Officer, being the 2nd respondent herein, be directed to conclude the said proceedings in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible and take necessary consequential steps thereafter without further delay.

The entire exercise is expected to be completed within one month from the date of communication of this order.

It is made clear that this Court has not gone into the merits of the case and the Conciliation Officer shall decide the issue in accordance with law, after giving reasonable opportunity of hearing to all the interested parties including the petitioners.

With the above observations and directions this writ petition being WPA 8662 of 2021 is disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed not to be admitted. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
