1. It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that he is in custody for about two years. Accordingly, he prays for bail.

2. Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits trial is at its fag-end. Only Investigating Officer is left to be examined as prosecution witness.

3. We have considered the materials on record. Allegations are serious and involve penetrative sexual assault on a minor. Trial is at its fagend. In view of the aforesaid as well as the gravity of offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.
