The Officer-in-Charge, Palashipara Police Station, Nadia and Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Tehatta, Krishnagarar have filed a report. The same is kept with the record.

Admittedly there has been some delay inaction on the part of the Pallashipara Police Station to take steps in respect of the petitioner's complaint.

The said complaint is now being registered as an FIR and investigation has commenced. There is also a counter-complaint against the petitioner that has been investigating and a charge sheet has been filed. Be that as it may, this Court directs that investigation of the petitioner's complaint registered as FIR is completed expeditiously preferably within a period

of one month from date. The petitioner shall be escorted back into his residence since serious threats are apprehended and expressed.

The Officer-in-Charge, Palashipara Police Station shall also register any complaint from the petitioner as regards any threat to his life and person. Strict vigil shall be maintained in the said locale by the Police. The I.O. shall ensure suitable protection is there for the petitioner to depose in course of investigation and produce all necessary documents. The petitioner shall cooperate in such investigation to the fullest. The Officer-in-charge, Pallashipara Police Station shall ensure that there is no breach of peace in the area. With the above observations, WPA 8678 of 2021 is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
