The revisional application was preferred challenging the proceedings arising out of Bongaon P. S. Case No. 179 of 2007 dated 4th April, 2007 corresponding to Sessions Case No. 17(09) of 2007 then pending before the Additional District & Sessions Judge, Fast Track Court-II, Bongaon, North 24 Parganas.

Pursuant to the order dated 4th August, 2021 passed by this court, a report has been submitted by the Inspector-in-Charge, Bongaon P. S., Bongaon Police District, North 24 Parganas. Let the report so submitted by the Inspector-in-Charge, Bongaon P.S, Bongaon PD, North 24 Parganas through the learned advocate appearing for the State be kept with the record.

The report reflects that the trial of the case has already been concluded and the present petitioner has been sentenced for capital punishment.

Be that as it may, the revisional application was preferred with the prayer for splitting up the trial and expediting the progress of the trial.

Having regard to the report which has been submitted before this court, I am of the view that no interference is called for at this stage.

Accordingly, the present revisional application being CRR 1088 of 2012 is dismissed.

All pending applications, if any, are consequently disposed of.
