Learned counsel appearing for the State has filed the report dated 04.04.2025. Let the same be kept with the record.

The petitioner in the present writ application prayed for a direction upon the respondent authorities to grant a permission for performing Ram Navami Puja / worship and peaceful procession on the said occasion on 5th and 6th April, 2025.

This Court considers the report submitted by the learned counsel for the State and finds that it is categorically mentioned that the Officer-inCharge, Kalitala Ashuti Police Station has visited the place and came to know that the worship was performed by making wooden platform on a

cannel which belongs to the Irrigation Department. It is also found that the police authorities have stated that they have no objection for performing worship on the occasion of the Ram Navami Puja. This Court finds that the Ram Navami was celebrated on 5th to 7th April, 2025.

Learned counsel for the State submits that the petitioner has prayed for a direction for performing Ram Navami and Ram Navami has been over in the month of April, 2025. Thus, the writ application becomes infructuous.

Considering the above, this Court finds that nothing remains in the present writ application and accordingly, WPA 7684 of 2025 stands dismissed as infructuous.

All parties shall act on the basis of server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Hon'ble High Court.

Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously after complying with all requisite formalities.
