Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that, the police complaint was lodged 13 years after marriage. The husband is in custody. The petitioner was falsely implicated.

Learned advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the First Information Report lodged by the victim and to the injury report of the victim. In her complaint to the police, the victim claims that the petitioner caught hold of her hand while one of her in-laws poured poison in her mouth. The medical evidence suggest unknown poison being administered to the complainant.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein as transpiring from the materials in the case diary, we are unable to enlarge the petitioner on anticipatory bail.

Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected and the application being CRM (A) 1891 of 2022 is dismissed.
