None appears for the petitioner even in the second call. The statement of the de facto complainant recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure complains of rape as against the petitioner.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner as transpiring from the materials in the case diary, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.

C.R.M. (A) 1355 of 2023 is dismissed.
