Petitioner seeks anticipatory bail.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the incident arose out of previous enmity. The family of the petitioner also lodged a police complaint.

Leaned advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the case diary. He submits that a portion of the left thumb of the victim was severed.

The statement of the victim and the injury of the victim corroborate the fact that the left thumb of the victim was severed. Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein as transpiring from the materials in the case diary, we are unable to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.

C.R.M. (A) 1898 of 2022 is dismissed.
