1. Learned counsel appearing for the accused/petitioners submits as follows. During the pendency of the criminal proceeding an amicable settlement has been arrived at between the private parties of all disputes that had led to the registration of the FIR. The couple is staying together.

2. The above contention is supported by the learned counsel appearing for the victim/de-facto complainant.

3. Learned counsel appearing for the State files a report, which is taken on record. It contains a subsequent statement of the victim recorded by the Investigating Officer on 15.4.2025. There she stated that the matter was amicably settled between the private parties and

the couple was staying together. The de-facto complainant does not want to proceed with the matter. It does not appear that the case diary contains any injury report.

In view of the nature of allegations and the settlement arrived at between the private parties of all disputes that had led to the registration of the instant case and in the interest of justice, the impugned proceeding in GR case no. 1274 of 2022 pending before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Arambagh, Hooghly corresponding to Khanakul Police Station Case no. 461 of 2022 dated 30.10.2022 is quashed and set aside.

5. Accordingly, the revisional application being CRR 1528 of 2025 is disposed of. The connected application stands also disposed of.

6. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance with requisite formalities.
