On the basis of the complaint filed by the petitioner no. 2 about the physical and mental torture upon the petitioner no. 1 by the respondent nos. 9 and 10, Ketugram PS Case No. 91/22 dated March 6, 2022, under Sections 342/498A/328/114/477/34 of the Indian Penal Code, was registered. The investigation is under progress. The police authorities had forwarded the Muslim Marriage Registrar before the learned jurisdictional magistrate for recording his statement under Section 164 of the Cr.P.C., as it was the specific contention of the petitioners that the

signature of the petitioner no. 1 on the 'Khulanama' had been obtained by force. The respondent nos. 9 and 10 were granted anticipatory bail by the learned Sessions Judge. 161 statements of several persons were recorded. Medical reports have been collected. The police report is taken on record.

Under such circumstances, this court is of the view that the investigation must be completed expeditiously and reached to its logical conclusion. It is made clear that the police authorities shall ensure the safety of the petitioners.

The writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Parties are to act on the server copy of this order.
