Learned counsel for the WBSEDCL, in his usual fairness, submits that the petitioner has correctly assessed the due electric charges at Rs.12,77,591/-. Learned counsel further submits that, subject to the respondent paying such amount and the reconnection fees and other consequential charges, the WBSEDCL has no issues in restoring the petitioner's electric supply. In such view of the matter, WPA 8697 of 2021 is disposed of by directing the WBSEDCL to reconnect the electric supply of the petitioner at the premises-inquestion, subject to payment by the petitioner of the entire arrear dues of Rs.12,77,591/- along with reconnection fees and other charges as payable by the petitioner in accordance with law, within a week from the date of compliance of all formalities and payment of the dues by the petitioner.
There will be no order as to costs.
Urgent photostat copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
