1. Matter is heard in presence of learned advocates representing petitioner and concerned police authorities.

2. In terms of order dated 21st April, 2026 a communication dated 11th May, 2026 of Officer-in-Charge, Netaji Nagar Police Station, Kolkata is placed before this Court and same is taken on record. Copy of the communication dated 11th May, 2026 is made over to the learned advocate representing the petitioner.

3. It is disclosed in the communication dated 11th May, 2026 that in connection with Netaji Nagar Police Station Case No. 193 dated 29th August, 2025 one accused person was arrested on 10th May, 2026 and subsequently in terms of order of the Court below she was remanded in police custody till 14th May, 2026. It was also detected by the investigating agency that sum

was credited to the account of two other persons and concerned bank authorities were directed to debit-freeze respective bank accounts of those two accused persons.

4. On perusal of the communication dated 11th May, 2026 it appears certain steps have been taken by the concerned police authorities in connection with the aforesaid criminal prosecution.

5. Concerned police authority is directed to take investigation to its logical conclusion at an early date and submit report before the jurisdictional Magistrate.

6. Writ petition stands disposed of.

7. However, this order shall not preclude the petitioner to approach the jurisdictional Magistrate, if situation so arises in future.

8. Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings.
