(Via Video Conference) Mr. Biswaroop Bhattacharyya, Mr. Kamal Mishra, Mr. Tamal Taru Panda ... for the petitioners Mr. Souvik Nandy ... for NCTE The petitioner no. 2 is a College imparting education after obtaining affiliation from the National Council for Teacher Education.

The Secretary of the College made a representation before the Regional Director, Eastern Regional Committee on 25th February, 2021 in response to an order passed by the National Council for Teacher Education on 3rd March, 2018.

The grievance of the petitioners is that the said representation has not been considered by the authority. The learned advocate representing NCTE submits that the office of the Eastern Regional Committee is being shifted from Bhubaneswar to New Delhi and accordingly it will take some time for the authorities to consider the representation.

As it appears that the petitioner waited from 2018 till 2021 for filing the representation before the authorities, accordingly the respondent authorities are granted three months' time for consideration of the representation made by the petitioner strictly in accordance with law. The Regional Director, Eastern Regional Committee, NCTE shall pass a reasoned order and communicate the same to the petitioner immediately thereafter. It is made clear that the Court has not entered into the merits of the representation filed by the College and all points are left open to be decided by NCTE at the time of consideration of the representation.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
