1. Affidavit of service, as filed, be kept with the record.

2. The instant writ-petition has been made primarily seeking execution/implementation of the order dated 30.01.2026, passed in WPA/1667/2026.

3. The said order directed the Director of Public Instruction (respondent no. 2 herein), to decide on the issue of the transfer of the petitioner within a stipulated date and to communicate the same to the petitioner by 25.03.2026.

4. It was also directed that the post of Assistant Professor in Physiology in the reserved category, which has been lying vacant for a long period of time, shall not be filled up until 31.03.2026, in view of the transfer, pending consideration by respondent no. 2.

5. The present writ-petition is on the grievance that respondent no. 2 has not complied with the order of 30.01.2026.

6. Mr. Dasgupta, learned Advocate for the State, hands over a copy of the communication from the

7. It appears from the said communication that the respondent no. 2 is struggling with health issues and was admitted to the hospital.

8. In view thereof, I direct respondent no. 2 to carry out the directions contained in the order of 30.01.2026, with enlarged timeline.

9. Since the hearing has already been held, respondent no. 2 is directed to take a decision by 15.05.2026 in respect of the vacancy already provided in respondent no. 5, as well as in any other Institutes, that may be available, including the post of Assistant Professor, Physiology of Midnapore College (autonomous), if the same is still vacant

10. The respondent no.

shall, thereafter, communicate the resultant order of such consideration to the petitioner by 30.05.2026.

11. The post of Assistant Professor of Physiology in the respondent no. 5 shall not be filled up till 15.06.2026, or until further orders from respondent no. 2, whichever is earlier.

12. With the aforesaid observations and directions, WPA/7907/2026 is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

13. Urgent Photostat Certified CopY of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
