A representation, to that effect, was made to the appropriate authorities.

The petitioners also approached the learned Executive Magistrate.

State has submitted a report prepared by the Inspector-in-charge of Chinsurah Police Station, which reflects that the structure is at a distance from the shop in issue. The report was

prepared on the basis of an enquiry report of Hooghly Chinsurah Municipallity.

It seems to be an offending approach of the concerned Municipal Authorities in respect of throttling the licensed business establishments.

However, since the police authorities are not empowered for removal of such structure, the petitioners would take steps before the concerned Municipality and/or the authorities empowered for removal of such illegal structure.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 7915 of 2025 is disposed of.

Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of.
