The writ petitioner approached the Birbhum District Central Co-operative Bank Limited in terms of an order dated 18th December, 2020 passed by this Court in W.P.A. No. 10292 of 2020.

The Bank had a sitting with the petitioner on 9th March, 2021 and the sitting was adjourned till 12th May, 2021.

Since Counsel for the petitioner submits that his client is not interested in any further meeting, the respondent Authority may take a suitable decision on the matter keeping in view the provisions of Section 6 of the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972 and the orders passed by this Court.

It is expected that the decision of the Bank shall be taken on or before 15th May, and

communicate the same to the petitioner within a week thereof.

In view of the above, the instant writ application shall stand disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All parties are directed to act on a server copy of this order on usual undertakings.
