The writ application has been filed praying for direction upon the respondents to pay appropriate compensation to the petitioner for acquisition of the land which rightfully belongs to the petitioner herein. Affidavit-in-opposition and reply thereto, has also been filed and are part of the record.

It appears from the materials on record that on 25.11.2010, the Executive Engineer of Borough-XIV, Kolkata Municipal Corporation had issued a letter to the petitioner herein asking her to file relevant documents in respect of the premises.

In compliance to the said letter and direction, the petitioner herein on 23.12.2010 submitted copies of the documents as called for.

A copy of the said letter is at page 34 to the writ application. It appears that 15 long years have

passed and petitioner is running from pillar to post to get compensation (prima facie) for a property which belongs to her and the Corporation has allegedly acquired the petitioner's land and has made a park on the said land.

Considering the said conduct, the writ application is disposed of with the direction that the petitioner shall approach the Executive Engineer Borough-XIV, Kolkata Municipal Corporation with the copies of documents as directed to be produced, as per letter annexed at page 33 & 34 of the WP and appear before the said authority within 7 days from the date of this order and the Executive Engineer shall dispose of the prayer and claim of the petitioner within 30 days thereafter, on hearing the parties and considering the documents filed and also the materials on record, in accordance with law by way of a reasoned order. In case the authority finds that the petitioner is entitled to compensation as prayed for, the compensation shall be paid within 30 days from the date of the order, to the petitioner herein. Writ application stands disposed of.

Applications, if any, connected thereto stand disposed of consequently.

Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on priority basis upon compliance of all formalities.
