1. Perused the report filed by the Assistant Commandant (Legal) for IGP WBS CRPF Kolkata signed on 23rd April, 2026.

2. The same mentions that the petitioner qualified in all stages of recruitment. His result was kept withheld on account of suspicion regarding genuineness of his domicile claim as the petitioner completed his education from Bihar while claiming domicile in West Bengal.

3. The domicile verification has since been confirmed and the domicile certificate relied upon by the petitioner has been found to be genuine.

4. The discrepancy in the name mentioned earlier has also been clarified/ corrected by the issuing authority confirming the identity of the petitioner.

5. The case of the petitioner is presently under consideration by the competent authority and further course of action including possible issuance of the Offer of Appointment subject to fulfillment of all other eligibility conditions is underway.

6. The report discloses that the respondents are processing the case expeditiously and a final decision shall be taken strictly in accordance with the recruitment rules.

7. As it appears that the petitioner's case is under active consideration for issuance of the Offer of Appointment, accordingly, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the authority to conclude the process at the earliest but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

8. The writ petition stands disposed of.

9. Parties to act on the basis of the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
