Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. A scuffle took place between friends, which resulted in simple injuries on both sides. The petitioner is not the principal accused. The other accused is on bail.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State relies on the case diary and submits as follows. There are statements of witnesses that support the prosecution case. However, two persons received injuries as would be evident from the injury reports. It does not appear from the injury report that any grievous injury was caused.

In view of the materials available in the case diary and the fact that charge sheet has already been submitted, I am inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the petitioner shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000/- each with two sureties of like amount each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of Arresting Officer subject to condition not to threaten or intimidate witnesses and to stay out of the jurisdiction of Rampurhat Police Station for a period of three months from this date except for the purpose of attending the jurisdictional Court or to meet the Investigating Officer. The application for anticipatory bail being CRM(A) 1135 of 2025 is, thus, allowed.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order may be delivered to the learned Advocates for the parties, if applied for, upon compliance of all formalities.
