...... petitioners Mr. Sagar Saha Mr. Debasi Sur ...for the petitioners Mr. Rana Mukherjee Mr. Aritra Bhattacharya .... For the State Two persons suffered injuries in an incident of assault. The injury suffered by both the persons were not classified as grievous hurt. The injured suffered severe cut injury on the scalp region.

The injured ascribes active role to both the petitioners. So far as the petitioner no. 1 is concerned, it is stated that he assaulted one of the injured with a shovel. So far as the petitioner no. 2 is concerned, he assaulted with a brick. Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner in the incident, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner and the prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected.
