AK 23.09.2024 UPON READING a petition of Banibrota Mondal and his affidavit of verification thereof dated July 9, 2024 and the exhibits or annexures to the said petition and upon hearing Mr. Arik Banerjee, learned counsel for the petitioner, IT IS ORDERED that a Rule do issue calling upon Mr. Umesh Ray, the alleged contemnor no.1 and Mr. Dhruv Limbachiya, the alleged contemnor no.2 as pleaded in contempt application (CPAN No. 1133 of 2024), to show cause as to why they should not be committed to prison or otherwise penalised or dealt with for having willfully and deliberately violated the order dated May 14, 2024 passed by this court in W.P.A 8492 of 2024.

AND IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that pendency of the Rule shall not preclude the alleged contemnors to comply with the order dated May 14, 2024.

The Rule is made returnable on November 22, 2024.

On the returnable date, IT IS ORDERED the alleged contemnors aforesaid shall appear personally before this Court at 10.30 a.m. and shall not leave this Court without permission.

Let the Rule be served personally on the alleged contemnors by special messenger at the cost of the petitioner.

The petitioner shall put in the special messenger's cost as well as the requisites within 24 hours. (Sabyasachi Bhattacharyya, J.)
