The grievance of the petitioner pertains to unauthorized and illegal construction. Pursuant to an earlier order of Court, the Kolkata Municipal Corporation has filed a report stating that appropriate steps have been taken to stop the illegal and unauthorized construction.

Let a copy of the report be kept with the record. In view of the report filed by the Kolkata Municipal Corporation nothing survives in this writ petition and this writ petition being W.P.A. 5743 of 2020 is disposed of with a direction that the Kolkata Municipal Corporation will take appropriate steps in accordance with law and conclude the proceedings initiated under Section 400(1) of KMC Act, 1980 within a period of twelve weeks from date.
