The petitioners are the final year students of Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine, and Surgery Course under J.B. Roy State Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital affiliated with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences, the respondent no. 2 herein.
The petitioners in the instant writ petition has challenged the notice dated June 10, 2020 whereby the schedule of 4th Professional Ayurvedacharya (BAMS) Examination, March 2020 was scheduled.
During the pendency of the writ petition, UGC has issued revised guideline on examination and academic guideline for Universities in view of Covid, 2019 Pandemic. Such guideline has been affirmed upto the Hon'ble Supreme Court.
In view of the said revised guideline, challenge to the notice dated June 10, 2020 has become infructuous. The State respondents are directed to take steps for holding 4th Professional Ayurveda Examination in accordance with the said UGC revised guideline.
With the above WPA 5761 of 2020 and the connected application being CAN 1 of 2020 (Old No : CAN 3740 of 2020) stand disposed of.
However, there shall be no order as to costs. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance of all requisite formalities.
